Target Audience:

The magazine will be for an all girls secondary school, which will from the ages of eleven to eighteen years old.
Masthead:
The masthead will be a bold eye catching font to stand and attract the students and teachers to read and be interested in the magazine. I would maybe use the school colours to keep in with the theme of the school as I wouldn't use a colour that would blend in with the background and not stand out.

Text:
The text in the magazine should be informal and casual so the students would be able to easily  understand and relate to. Whereas having the text in a formal manner would more likely to attract a smaller audience which may include students parents, tutors or teachers but as the brief is for a school magazine and states that the target audience should be for the students. For this magazine the written text would be written by the pupils from the years nine and upwards - this would be a good opportunity for students for enjoy english and writing which would make students feel more confident by creating information and articles for their peers to read and enjoy.

Images:
The images for a school magazine should be related to the school and to the students that attend there which is the main idea of this magazine to attract the students into reading it. Above are some of the photographs we took for our magazine, the one highlighted is the one we liked best

Articles:
The articles for the magazine should appeal to a wide range of students from ages 11 to 18 which should be interested by them all. I created a brain storm of the possible articles that could be inside the magazine.
  • Inside/outside school events
  • Information about clubs
  • Interviews with students
  • Agony aunt
  • Subject information
  • Fashion page for 6th formers
  • Term dates and upcoming trips
